GEO Lens — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 July 2026
Short version: GEO Lens does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. All analysis happens locally in your browser. There are no servers, no accounts, and no tracking.

What GEO Lens does

GEO Lens is a Chrome extension that analyses the content of a web page you are viewing — only when you click “Scan this page” — and shows you an on-page and in-panel audit of its Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) quality.

Data we collect

None. GEO Lens does not collect or transmit any personal data, browsing history, page content, or analytics. It makes no network requests of any kind. Nothing you scan ever leaves your device.

Data stored on your device

To show your recent-scan history, GEO Lens stores a small amount of data locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local:

This data never leaves your browser, is not sent anywhere, and can be removed at any time by clearing the extension’s storage or removing the extension. Only your ten most recent scans are kept.

Permissions and why they are used

GEO Lens requests no host permissions, so it cannot run on any page without your explicit click.

Third parties

None. GEO Lens contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party code, and contacts no external services.

Children’s privacy

GEO Lens is a professional tool and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.
